World Water Monitoring Day


Pewaukee River Monitors, Dan Vircks and Richard Johnston, check the dissolved oxygen level in the River in observance of World Water Monitoring Day. Their results have been submitted to the Water Environment Federation website as a participant in the World Water Monitoring Day project. Since 2002 more that 80,000 people have participated in 50 countries.
Dan and Richard also monitored the River for
temperature, turbidity and stream flow. In addition, an assessment of the macro invertebrates
present in the water was done.
